Shenita L. Jones, a native of Ardmore, Oklahoma, is the heart and soul behind Healing Hearts Counseling Service. Growing up as the middle child in a family of four, Shenita has always been deeply connected to her community and driven by a passion for service. A devoted single parent to one son and a proud grandmother to a brilliant granddaughter, Shenita’s commitment to family and faith shines through in every aspect of her work.
Educational and Professional Background
Shenita is a proud alumna of Ardmore High School, class of 1989. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Tulsa, a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix, and a Master of Arts from Southern Nazarene University.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Registered Play Therapist in Oklahoma, Shenita brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her practice. Her extensive background spans health administration, business, and information technology, with previous roles including Human Resources Director in the manufacturing and healthcare sectors and Database Administrator in the transportation, telephone, and banking industries.

Shenita is a dynamic speaker and educator, frequently addressing women across Oklahoma to encourage and empower them. Her dedication to mental health wellness is the driving force behind Healing Hearts Counseling Service, where she leads a team of professionals committed to helping individuals achieve emotional and psychological well-being.
Advocacy and Community Involvement
A passionate advocate for children, Shenita works tirelessly to support their growth and development, helping young women become intelligent, godly individuals who serve mankind. She is the founder of Restoring Lives, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of youth and families in historically oppressed communities through holistic health supports, life skills workshops, personal and academic mentorship, and comprehensive family support.
Community Contributions
Shenita’s involvement in the Ardmore community is extensive. She actively participates in her church’s Soup Kitchen and Youth department and is an alumna of the 2013 Leadership Greater Ardmore program. Her other community endeavors include Woman2Woman Ministries, the Miss Black Ardmore Scholarship Pageant, the Good Shepherd Medical Clinic, and the Children of Tomorrow Ministry Mentoring and Tutoring Program.
